Week 1 & 2 Reflection:
I was off ill for 4 days in Week 1 and 3 on Week 2 so I am unable to effectivly reflect on these days
This week i established my aims in order to do this i did a lot of research. This research insists of getting to know the brand McDonald’s i found out about their previous digital campaigns, how they started and their branding techniques.
As well as this, i analysed their previous visual advertisement campaigns on YouTube, because i knew i wanted to make a visual advertisement, as a result of my primary research.
After doing both primary and secondary research. I created my target audience
From this experience I’ve gained a lot more knowledge in branding, as before i had no experience in it. I’ve learnt in order to produce a campaign you have to do a tremendous amount of planning and researching. This stage is essential, as it helped me come up with the main idea. Doing the survey ” What chicken is more flavorsome KFC or MC Donald’s? most people voted KFC meaning, that no one thinks MC Donald’s chicken has flavor. This is how i came up with the main idea to really bring forward that it has more flavor than KFC. The clients really liked this idea as they said no other group took that approach.
Before the client check our group had our initial idea however, we had no clear view on our target audience and how to capture their attention. He told us we need something or someone to attract our target audience, that also fitted our theme. So we decided to use Gordon Ramsey, which 92% of our target audience know.
