What are Branding Guidelines?
Branding Guidelines are created for brands that want to have a constant identity. This means that anyone who wants to create content with their logo or name internally or externally knows how it should look. As well as looks Branding Guidelines help establish all parts of your brand from your logo and colour scheme to your fonts and tone of voice.
Why are they needed for a radio station?
Whether you are a traditional brand on a radio station you will have digital and visual content not just audio. It’s important that everyone knows how your brand should look and feel. This avoids confusion as well as helps maintain a constant image and ‘brand’ for clients or fans.

Researching ideas for Youths Choice
Brand Colours, Youths Choice’s main brand colour is Blue #21A9ED they also have alternative shades and colours for different texts.

But why Blue? Blue is associated with confidence, loyalty and communication (which is very important for a radio station). These colours are also in the Youths Choice logo which helps brand consistency
Logo Placement, also known as the exclusion zone, is generally half of the logo height. as the last thing a brand wants is its logo be overlapping with another brand as it may confuse customers into thinking they are associated.

Tone of Voice, this helps get your brand across as a person, using words and phases that make your brand sound more personal and less clinical.
